What is Angel Tree?
Angel Tree is an annual program that seeks to connect caring individuals and communities with children who have a parent in prison. This unique program allows these children to experience the love and support they need, especially during a time that can be emotionally challenging. Our Mission
Our mission is simple yet profound - to brighten the holiday season for children affected by incarceration. How Does Angel Tree Work?
The Angel Tree program operates in a few simple steps:
- Identification: We work closely with correctional institutions and local agencies to identify children who would benefit from the Angel Tree program. These children are typically between the ages of 0-18 and have a parent in prison.
- Wishlist Collection: Once identified, we ask the children to share their holiday wishes by creating a personalized wishlist. These wishes are carefully collected and recorded to ensure that every child receives a gift that brings them joy and a sense of care.
- Gift Distribution: Through the generosity of individuals, families, and the Reveille United Methodist Church community, we are able to fulfill these wishes and provide the children with gifts. Our volunteers wrap the presents and organize distribution events to foster a warm and festive atmosphere. Seeing the smiles on the children's faces during these events is truly heartwarming.
